Before Natasha Langridge-Thorpe was writing scripts, she was binge-watching 90s cartoons and wondering what made their characters so compelling. In particular, she had a soft spot for Pinky and the Brain. Eventually, the obsession with stories turned into a realisation: "Hey, I could actually do this for a living."
Today, Natasha writes stories across film and television, with a particular interest in stories that challenge societal expectations and explore what it means to be human. She is drawn to unique perspectives and complex characters, with the hope that even the most unexpected stories can leave audiences seeing the world differently.
She holds a Distinction MA in Writing for Script & Screen from Falmouth University and a First-Class BA (Hons) in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts. Her background in both writing and production has given her first-hand insight into the collaborative process of developing stories from script to screen, as well as the creative decision-making and communication required to bring them to life.
Natasha currently works as a Scriptwriter and Storyboard Director for Iam Compliant, translating narrative ideas into engaging visual content for diverse audiences. She previously worked as a Design Runner for Lime Pictures on the television series Hollyoaks, gaining experience of the fast-paced and collaborative world of television production.
Her goal is to tell stories from different perspectives that deserve to be heard, create characters audiences can empathise with, and challenge societal expectations.
